$245 towards $700

  • I'm running with the DNA Dude, along with hundreds of others across the country!

Why should you support my 5K?

On November 26, I am running 3.1 miles, from to raise funds for the hereditary colon cancer community.

Approximately 1 in 270 people are born with a form of hereditary colon cancer. Did you know that 80% of these individuals are diagnosed AFTER they have cancer? Did you know that through early detection, a person's cancer risk can be significantly reduced and, in some cases, eliminated all together!

Please join our team, Guts and Glory, to help these families! If you are not able to join us, please consider donating only $10 to this cause that is near and dear to our hearts. Ten donations of $10 will provide $100 of resources for this great cause

Your donation will provide critical funding to the Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation and support programs that increase awareness of these conditions, improve provider education, and empower families who have the GUTS to take control of their lives!" Every $25 raised gives 5 families access to important resources AND provides free education on hereditary colon cancer syndromes to medical students.

The thousands of families who benefit from these programs thank you. The medical professionals serving this strong community thank you. The Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation, thanks you. And I thank you, both as a medical professional priveledged to work with these families and as a loved one of an amazing individual with early-onset rectal cancer.

The Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose vision is to be a beacon of light - extending life expectancy, enhancing life quality, and instilling hope in those born with hereditary colon cancer syndromes.
