I’m running with the DNA Dude!

I'm running in the DNA Dude Dash to raise money to fight hereditary cancer and I would love your support.

A bit more on what I'm doing...

The fundraising event is called the DNA Dude Dash - A Selfie 5K.

So you're probably asking "Who is the DNA Dude?" and "What is a Selfie 5K?" Good questions!

The DNA Dude is the mascot of the Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit organization extending life expectancy, enhancing life quality, and instilling hope in those born with hereditary colon cancer syndromes.

A Selfie 5K is a 5K that I can run anywhere! All I have to do is post a selfie with the DNA Dude at the end of my run. I've decided that I'm running from [origin] to [destination] and popping the DNA Dude on [a/an/the object]. Cool, right?!?

Why? Because 1 in 270 children are born with a DNA mutation that causes an increased risk for many cancers, especially colon, breast, ovarian,and endometrial cancer. And because 80% of those born with these conditions are diagnosed AFTER they have developed cancer! I find this totally UNACCEPTABLE!

So… that's why I'm running with the DNA Dude… to improve life for families, across multiple generations, living EVERY DAY with hereditary cancer syndromes.

This is the first year we are doing this and we're hoping to raise $20,000 for the Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation. With your help, we can support the hundreds of thousands of families dealing with these conditions.

Whether it be $5, $50 or $5,000... all donations help and support their much needed programs. Oh yeah, and they are tax-deductible, too!

For every $25 donated, five patients can receive free access to all of the Hereditary Colon Cancer Foundation's resources. For every $25 donated, one medical student can receive free access to education content that will help them care for these families.
